UK General Election - Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock

Firstly, we want to thank Bill Grant for over two years serving as MP for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock. Bill was the first Scottish Conservative MP for the seat, since the current constituency was created. He worked hard for constituents across the constituency and stood up for a range of issues.

We are delighted to announce that Derek Stillie is he Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate for Central Ayrshire in the upcoming General Election. In 2017, the Scottish Conservatives were only 1,267 votes away from winning the seat from the SNP.

Local MSP Brian Whittle raised concerns about the shortfall in staff for Psychiatric services in Scotland at First Minister's Questions. He highlighted correspondance on the number of vacant posts, and a report on the number of psychiatrists in children and adolescent support expected to retire.

Holy Fair

The South Ayrshire Conservatives had a successful bottle stall at this year's Holy Fair in Ayr. This is thanks to all the volunteers and elected members who helped at the stall on the day. A big thank you to everyone who came to the stall and supported us.
